Sep 15, 2010Pat Auflick is the new Director of the Goodstein Library at Casper College, WY. She was a Health Sciences Librarian at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
James K. Bracken is the new Dean of University Libraries, Kent State University, OH. He previously was Assistant Director for Collections, Instruction, and Public Services at Ohio State University Libraries, Columbus. Bracken replaces Mark Weber, who retired.
Jessica Finney is now the Director of the Whitman Public Library, MA. She was the library’s Adult Services Librarian.
Bev Gold recently retired after serving since 1982 as Manager of the Pierz Public Library, Great River Regional Library, St. Cloud, MN.
Barry Holmes is now CEO, Windsor Public Library, Ont. He was CEO, Greater Victoria Public Library, BC.
The University Libraries at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, has named Charla Lancaster as Director of Assessment and Library Access Services; Rebecca Miller is College Librarian for Science, Life Sciences, and Engineering.
Dawn La Valle has been named Assistant Director at the Fairfield Public Library, CT. For the past seven years, La Valle worked at the White Plains Library, NY, as Adult Reference Librarian and Supervisor of Periodicals.
Patrick Mullin, Interim Associate University Librarian for Collections and Services at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), retired July 30 after a 37-year career.
Renee Paasch is now Director, Dickinson Area Public Library, ND, following the retirement of Cheryl Tollefson, after 37 years. Paasch was Interlibrary Loan and Acquisitions Librarian there.
At the Palmer School of Library and Information Science at Long Island University, Brookville, NY, Linda Ryan has been named Director; she was Director of the Rittenberg Law Library of St. John’s University School of Law, Queens, NY. Jody Howard is now Associate Professor, specializing in school librarianship. David Jank is Assistant Professor, specializing in knowledge organization.
Lori Ward Smith is the new Branch Manager, Pascagoula Public Library, part of the Jackson-George Regional Library System, MS. She most recently was Director, Pickens County Cooperative Library System, Carrollton, AL.
Zane Treesh is the new Manager of the Chugiak-Eagle River Branch Library, Anchorage Public Library (APL), AK. Treesh has held a variety of positions at APL over the past 12 years.
